SPORTING AND DRAMATIC REVIEW.
4, The proprietors of the N.Z. Sporting aiv! Dramatic Review are to be congratulated on the high standard maintained in this admirable publication which easily eclipses anything of the kind in the southern hemisphere. Indeed, it compares favourably with anything overseas, a fact which .s borne in this week’s issue. The Wellington Racing Club’s meeting is dealt with in a comprehensive fashion, snapshots of starts and finishes of the various events, together with groups, giving a clear indication of the progress of the principal races. Special space is devoted to the Australian
Jockey Club’s Carnival at Randwick. The Avondale Jockey Club’s autumn meeting also finds a prominent post tion in the sporting section with illustrations of the crowd, and starts and finishes, while the concluding day of the Auckland Racing Club’s Easter gathering shows some interesting snapshots. A striking selection of stage, screen and society portraits heightens the general interest in this up-to-date journal.
