JVTOTICE is hereby given that 11 the Paeroa Borough Council will, at a special meeting oi. the Council to be held in the Borough Council Chambers, Paeroa, on the 9th day of May, 1923, at 7.30 p.m., make and levy the following rates for the period commencing on the Ist day ot April, 1923, and ending on the 31st day of- March, 1924. Under : Sections 78 and 88 of “The Municipal Corporations Act, . 1908,” Sections 48 and 50 of “The Rating Act, 1908,” and Section 41 of “The Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act, 1919.” Namely : — A GENERAL RATE of 3fd in the £. A SPECIAL LIGHTING RATE of |d in the £. A SEPARATE HOSPITAL RATE of <d in the £. To collect a Special Rate of |d in the £ for providing Interest and Sinking Fund on the £650 Financial Adjustment Loan Interest, Account, such being part of the Special Rate of Id in the £ struck on the 17th day of May, 1917, on the annual value. To collect A SPECIAL RATE of 2d in the £ for providing Interest and Sinking Fund oh the £22,000 borrowed for Sewerage works, such being part of the Special Rate of 4|d in the £ struck on the 15th day of September, 1921. All the above rates are on the rateable value on the Valuation Roll of all rateable property in the Borough of Paeroa based on the unimproved value. ESTIMATE SHOWING THE GENERAL RATE REQUIRED FOR THE BOROUGH OF PAEROA FOR THE PERIOD Ist. APRIL, 1923, to 31st March, 1924. The following estimate, havingbeen approved by the Paeroa Borough Council, is published for general information ; — Proposed expenditure during the above period, £4280 16s 9d. Moneys available, £489 13s 3d. Estimated receipts (rents, licenses, outstanding rates, etc.), £lO9l 3s 6d. Balance proposed to be met by General Rate of on £175,000, being the total unimproved rating value of the property on the Valuation Roll for the Borough of Paeroa, £2700.
