ENTERTAINMENTS.

CENTRAL THEATRE PICTURESTONIGHT. THE LAST TRAIL. “The Last Trail/’ from the novel by Zane Grey, will be presented this evening. The leading male role is assumed by the stalwart Maurice Flynn, while Eva Novak has the feminine lead. The story of ‘‘The Last Trail” is built upon the operations cf a lone bandit known as the “Night Hawk,” and contains intensely dramatic situations, threaded by a love romance unusual in its development. The great climax at the close of the story involves the criminal breaking of a big dam on the mountain and the consequent flooding and destruction cf a village, far below. The making of these scenes —foi; which both village and concrete dam were constructed —is said to have been a task involving large expenditure of time, labour, and money.

TO-MORROW NIGHT.

WHITE OAK. William S. Hart is to be seen in his new Paramount picture, “White Oak,” tp-morrow night . The story is by Hart himself, and betrays a wide knowledge of life in the fighting fifties on the plains and prairies of America. Quick, decisive action predominates the picture, whilst through it winds a delightful love story.

THURSDAY NIGHT.

ONE WEEK OF LOVE. On Thursday next Elaine Kammerstein and Coiiway Tearle are to be seen in “ One Week of Love,” a caveman romance rampant with thrills. This film presents a thrilling airplane smash, a terrific railroad wreck, and tells a story of modern society, which rivals in splendour the pleasures of the ancients.
