Considerable pluck and determination were demonstrated by a young girl at Westport, a few nights ago. The girl, who is about 12 years of age. walked from. Westport to Seddonville, a distance of about thirty iniles, a task that would not appeal to many adults. What is more, she covered the distance alone, .and,.- strange to relate, at night time. Her object was to join her mother, who was at Sed donville. The long walk commenced at 8.40 P.m. and was completed a’< 9 a.m. candle-making. THRIVING N.Z. INDUSTRY.
