A cablegram was erceived by Mr E. W. Porritt yesterday stating that Mr M. J. Harris’ mother had died on Saturday last at Ballarat, Mr Harris left Paeroa for Australia on March 16 in response to a cablegram stating that his mother was seriously ill.
