FARMERS’ TRADING CO. LTD. 9 BIG ADVANCE OF SALES. A RECORD MONTH. The local manager of the Fanners’ Union Trading Company, Ltd., Mr D. Brown, has received advice from his headquarters in Auckland that for last month (March) the company has put up a record for sales since the revival of trade. This x will be welcome news to the large body of shareholders, and also to those who have been supporting this enterprising company. The total shows that the sales have exceeded by £40,000 those for the cor responding month of last year. This revival of trade indicates to a very large degree thaJt. the purchasing power of the Dominion has become stronger and a more prosperous time is ahead. This is not merely a local company, but one with branches throughout the Auckland province, so that to make such a big advance it shows pretty clearly that the company must, be dealing on very favourable terms, as competition has been made keen of late. The local branch has more than held its own in its contribution to the record month, the sales having increased 26 per cent, of those of the corresponding period of last year. This is a healthy sign, and shows the prosperity that is at our doors.
