——e HAMILTON STOCK SALB The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Cp., Ltd., Hamilton, reports At Hamilton sale on Tuesday, March 27, there was about an average yarding of sheep and cattle. Competition was not very strong for sheep, and cattle met with a poor reception. small fat and forward wethers made 27s 9d to 28s: fat ewes 19s to 22s ; fat lambs 23s 3d ; forward lambs 17s to 18s ; other lambs 10's 6d. Heavy prime fat cows £5 10s to £6 15s ; good fat cows £3 10s to £4 14s ;
good coloured 20-months steers £2 15s, 15-months steers £2; Holstein heifers £4 10s; Jersey cross heifer calves £1 16s to £2 7s, other calves £1 Is. Another full yarding of pigs was offered. Last week’s improvement in baconers was not sustained, prices receding to those ruling the week preivous. Slips and weaners were dull of sale. Heavy baconers made from £3 10s to £3 19s, medium £3 3s to £3 8s; heavy porkers to light baconers £2 15s to £3 Is, medium porkers £2 7s to £2 12s, lighter £2 to £2 ss, unfinished 25s to 355; best slips 16s to 21s, inferior Ils to 14s; good weaners 10s to 12s, small 5s to 8s ; sows in young £2 to £2 12s-
