PAEROA GOLF CLUB.
ADJOURNED ANNUAL MEETING. The 'adjourned annual meeting of the Paeroa Golf Club was held on Friday night. The president, Mr A. Gorrie, occupied the chair. - ELECTION OF OFFICERS. The. following officers were elected : President, Dr. Gilbert Smith; vicepresident Mr R. G. Miller ; secretary, Mr 11. G. Somervell; committee, Messrs P. R. Hubbard, C. N. O’Neill, W. J Byrne, I. Towers, and S. JHedge. NEW MEMBERS. Tt was resolved that proposals for membership must be in writing and signed by the nominee. ENTRANCE FEES. A resolution was passed that nonplaying members on becoming playing members must pay the entrance fee of £1 Is. SCORE CARDS. It was decided that a charge of 6d a dozen be made on the issue of score cards : no free issue to be given. OPENING DAY. Saturday, April 14, was fixed as the opening day. ROLLING FAIRWAY,. A recommendation was passed that the committee have the fairway in ■the course proper, and also No. 4, rolled with the steam roller. ACTING CAPTAIN. Mr S. J. Bishop offered to accept the position of acting captain until the opening day, but declined to take the captaincy. CUTTING GREENS. It was resolved to have the greens cut twice a week. LADIES’ COMMITTEE. After the general meeting of the Golf Club on Friday evening the lady members held a meeting and formed the following committee for the ensuing season : Club Captain, Mrs J. W. Silcock; secretary, Mrs E. Edwards ; executive committee, Mesdames G H. Taylor, W. L. Lawrence, F. Hubbard, and Misses B. Walmsley and L. Thorp.
