FATAL FALL FROM CAR.
THE LATE MISS M. WILSON. An inquest was held before Mr JW. Poynton, S.M., Coroner, at Auckland, on Wednesday, in connection with the. death of Miss Margaret Wilson, who fell from a tram in Symonds Street, and died in hospital as ax result of the injuries received. Evidence was given that Mrs W’lson got off the car while it was in motion, and was followed by he.’ daughter, who fell and struck her head heavily on the pavement,. She was taken to the hospital, where she died from her. injuries. The conductor of the car said he saw Mrs Wilson fall from the car, but he did not see deceased until she was lying on the roadway. Witness asked the elder lady why she had not rung the bell. She replied that she had overlooked ringing the bqll. The Coroner returned a verdict that death was due to deceased getting off a tram car while it was in motion ; also that, no blame was attachable to the driver or conductor.
