The district traffic manager, N.Z.R., advised the Thames County Council that the provision of loading faciliteis for pigs at Kopu was not at present warranted, the shortage of funds also being a consideration. The question of providing a ladies’ wait-ing-room at Kopu had been referred to the head office, and the department would consider the request for a waiting room at Hikutaia as soon as funds were available.
