On Friday and Saturday of last week 100 tons of fruit left Beaumont, and on Monday 110 tons were dispatched, necessitating the running of a special as well as the ordinary double-header train—two engines (writes the Roxburgh correspondent of tiie “Otago Daily Timep"). The fruit train from Beaumont is now one of th'? recognised sights of the districts en route, and afforjs some idea of the great development of the industry in tnis district.
