This week’s number stands as a testimony to t'he efforts of the proprietors to make the journal second to .none in the Southern Hemisphere. The opening of the Wellington Racing Club’s meeting at Trentham occupies an important place in the sports section, and the Trotting Club’s gathering is also covered in an interesting series ’of snapshots. The French cruiser, “Jules Michelet,” is t'he subject of special attention, views aboard the boat commanding general interest, while the sailors’ picnic at Motuihi Island is also featured in a fine grouping covering a page of excellent spapshotp.
