HAMILTON STOCK SALE, The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., reports :— As Hamilton sale on Tuesday we had a large entry of, sheep and pige, but cattle were below the average supply. As was anticipated, the full yarding of sheep attracted many buyers and brisk competition followed the sale to its conclusion. The number of fats penned was small, but. values ruled similar to the previous week, ewes selling to 275. The quality of the rape lambs was excellent, and ajl lots submitted were generously received, and cleared at auction. Best quality realised to 18s 7d for shorn and 20s 9d for woolly ; medium quality, hardly suitable for rape, Ite to 16s 6d ; small lambs 10s 6d to Ils 6d. A pen of small 2-t.ooth ewes made 255-. Fat cattle were sold much upon last week’s basis, medium weight steers making to £7 15s, heavy cows from £5 10s to £6, medium weights £4 8s to £4 17 s - There was almost an entire absence of store cattle. Bulls sold from 30's to £4 10s; according to quality and condition. Pigs were penned in large numbers, prices, for medium to heavy baconers agaiw showing an improvement, on last week’s market, while stores and’ weaners remained the same. Heavy baconers £3 9s to £3 16s, medium £2’ 18s .to £3 6s : i'ood porkers to light baconers £2 10 to £2 ,16s ; small, welTfinished to medium porkers £2 to £2 ss, unfinished 30s to 365; slips 21s 6d to 245, others 14s to 18s; best weaners 12s to 14 s, small 6s ,6d to 10s'-6d.
