TURUA TOWN BOARD.
MONTHLY MEETING. The. monthly meeting of the Turua Town. Board! was held on M/ednesday. Present: Mask’s J. A. Bennett (chairman,). F. Olsen. J. Mules, A. P. Gardinar, C. A- Ansford, J. T. Davis, and tlhe clerk (Mr J. E; Green). ' CORRESPONDENCE. The Thames Valley 7 Power Board advised that they would erect, street lights as required by -the Boar/d wherever there was a pole erected. The cos;t, as previously quoted, would incl aide all fittings, removal of lanwis. would be charged for. J\s the 100 c.p. and ‘2OO c.p. lamps would cost. £3 and £4 15s, respectively, and a time switch costing £l2 10s would be required, it was decided indefinitely to defer the question of street lighting. The Hauraki Plains County Council! advised that the engineer had been instructed to procure the necessary metal for the test piece of bituminous road in the Turua township. Also that, a copy of the agreement and statement of expenditure in the Town Board area, would te forwarded.—The letter was received. R. W. Bagnall gave the Town Board control of the Recreation Reserve, subject to the existing grazing rights, until it is vested in the Crown. The chairman was’ authorised to i interview the ’holder of. the grazing | Tights and ascertain the position. [ Accounts totalling £l7 Ils 2d were j; -passed for payment.
