TURUA. The second match in the second round of the competitions arranged by the Thames Cricket. Association, which was to have been p ; ayed at Kopuarahi on Saturday last, had to be postponed as the breakdown on the Kopu f&rry prevented the Wanderers’ eleven from getting to Kopuarahi. After waiting a considerable time, scratch teams were picked and a practice match played. KOPUARAHI. match between the Kerepeehi and the Turua tennis clubs played at Turua on Saturday last, resulting in a win for Turua by the small margin of three games. The two clubs were very evenly matched, and the weaknesses shown on the previous Saturday were . again apparent. A promising feature was the good form shown by the younge; members of both clubs. Owing to a breakdown on the launch, the Kopu-Orongo ferry was unable tp run on Saturday atfernbon. Mr W. White’s bus therefore had to return to Thames, and passengers and mails were sent to the Plains by Kerby’s launch. Mr A. Murray-Keighley was on Saturday appointed secretary of the Netherton Ratepayers’ Association, vice Mr H.
