FACTORY RETURNS.
INCREASE AT SHELLY BEAQH. Returns from the Shelly Beach cheese factory compared with last season’s show a marked increase in quality manufactured and grade. Since October 20, when the season opened, fifteen hundred crates have been shipped. Noe of it has been second graded. The average daily make for the month of December was 25 crates, and the average grade was 90.27, an increase of six cheeses a day and oneand a half points in grade.
The factory is already wired up for electricity, and it is hoped .that within a month the power board will have the wirer to the fatcory. All the machinery will be driven by electricity, but steam will still be needed. As coal costs £4' a ton at .the factory a great saving will be effected.
