PATETONGA. DISSATISFIED WITH POST OFFICE. The residents of Patetonga are very disappointed at the size pf the new post office. Although the present building has only been in use a few months it has already proved much too small. There can be no secrecy when using the telephone unless some of the furniture is first taken outside to permit of the door of -the telephone box being closed. Considering that the settlers had to give the site they at least expected a building biggesr than the old post office, which structure is now being used as a meat safe by the local butcher. LAUNCH SERVICE. In conversation with a “Gazette” reporter several residents of Patetonga. expressed the opinion that a launch service to KSlrepeehi or Ngatea to connect with the Thames and Paeroa motor services would probably pay well.
