CLAUDELANDS STOCK SALE. The Farmers* Uo-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., reports :— At the Claudelands 1 sale on Thursday, December 14, we had a good yarding of cattle and a flair supply of sheep and pigs. Beef met with excellent competition and all lots submitted were cleared. Steers made to £7 5s for medium weights, light-wieghts £5 12s to £6 ss; fat cows reached £8 for well, fattened cattle from the Government farm, light-weights £3 14s to £4 5s ; fresh cows made from £2 4s to £3 Ils ; store cows £1 5s to £1 15s. Store stock generally hardly reached late rates, although fair competition was met with up to a certain stage. Two-year steers made to £2 19s; good 18-months steed’s were passed in at £2 17s 6d; 15-months steers (fair quality) made from £2 12s to £2 14s, heifers’ same age from £2 2s to £3 ss. Sheep wer.e in good demand, small fat wethers making to 28s Id, well fattened ewes 265, mixed two-tootlis 22s to 24s Pigs': Bac'oners made to £2 17s, porkers from 35s to £2 Bs, slips from 18s to £1 7s, weaners' from 5s to 13s. ■
