HAURAKI PLAINS SHOW.
DATE FIXED FOR FEBRUARY 15- ( MEETING OF COMMITTEE. The Hauraki Plains A. and P. Association’s show committee met at Ngatea on Friday, the president, Mr P. R. "Henry in the chair. ' t The date for the forthcoming show was fixed for Thursday, February 15Mr E. Walton was re-elected secretary. The following schedule committee was elected L. Rountree, D. G McMillan, J. H. Nicliolsbn,, P. R, Henry, and A. R. Vowles. The chairman gave notice of motion that the financial year should end on April 30. KEREPEEHI GROUND. The Commissioner of Crown Lands advised that it wks not yet possible to issue the .title to ( the sihow ground at Kerepeehi as-the proclamation finally reserving .theTand as an agricultural and pastoral show ground, had not get been issued. Arrangements had already been made for the proclamation to be issued at the earliest possible date. It was reported that a windmill was removed from the show ground at Kerepeehi by the Lands Department after 30th of June last, the date the association was entitled to take possession. It. was decided to gather information from the department on the matter and write to the Commissioner of Crown Lands' on the matter. SUGGESTIONS FOR NEXT SHO'W. Mr J. Banks said that the association should encourage the breeding of horses on the Plains and advocated the inclusion of a class for. draught entires. Mr A. Chatfield said few boys, and few men also, did not knpw how :o dress a pony, and such a class should be included. Mr Banks offered to instruct any boys in the art of dressing a pony. Mr Davidson urged the inclusion of a section for pigs..
