SOLDERING IRONS.

NEW ELECTRIC TYPE. The electric soldering iron made by the British and Allied Electrical Agency, Limited, 13, Charterhouse Street, Londno, is a soldering iron In its most convenient form. It.is' always clean to use, docs' not require to be constantly retinned, the heat can oe regulated to suit the work in hand, the heat is constant, so. that no time is lost, in changing irons, the current taken is comparatively .small, any shaped bit can be used, and the heating element is' easily replaced and in cartridge form. A special switch can be provided by means of which various degrees of heat may be obtained. In the first position the heat is just enough to melt solder, so that if the regulator is left in this position very little current is consumed, but the iron is l kept ready for immediate use when the desired heat is switched on. A suitable stand can be provided, so tha’tho work can be brought to the iron ■for cases sueh as where several twisted wires have to be soldered together. '
