TWELVE months’ actual experience of maintaining a regular motor service in all weathers over the bad roads of the Plains has resulted in a heavy loss. It is our aim to continue giving the public the dependable service that we have hitherto maintained, but this will only be possible by readjusting our charges to provide for excessive wear and tear occasioned by the exceptionally bad road conditions. It is with regret that we make this announcement, and have re cast the scale of passenger fares on the basis of 6d per mile for each passenger in order to meet the representations of settlers between towns on the Plains. The following fares will be charged on and after December 11, 1922 : Single Return Ngatea to Pacroa 7/6 15/Kerepeehi to Paeroa 6/- 12/Netherton to Paeroa 3/- 6/Children half price. BRENAN AND CO.
