According tp a report in the London “Daily Telegraph,” “the former Federal Director of Prohibition for the State of New York, a. number of Local politicians, .and many bogus drug concerns' have been indicted by a Federal grand jury for fraud in connection with the entoricement of Prohibition, The grand jury has spent two months investigating the charge against the accused, which, according to the indictment, is collusion to procure the issuance of large quantities of liquor, from storage warehouses, etc., instead of the small quantities for which permits were originally granted. Many, million dollars’ worth of liquors have thus been released, and are alleged to have reached the public through devious channels.” —Reuter.
