e KEREPEEHI. POLITICAL ADDRESS. The weather on Wednesday evening was by no means enticing, and, eppsequently, Mr S. S. Allen, Reform candicatc far the Ohinemuri electorate, did not have a large attendance at his address. The gathering, however, was an interested one, and gave the candidate a patient hearing. Mp A’. Chatfield was in the chair. Only one of the electors put questions to the candidate at the conclusion of the address, the questions being in connection with the payment of superannuation. A Vote of thanks was passed to Mr Allen and to the chair. A DANCE.

Despite the unfavourable weather a large number of dancing folk Wete present at a dance held in the Kerepeehi hall last evening. The proceeds are to be devoted to the proposed public hall funds. The number present included visitors from Ngatea, Netherton, Turua, and Kopuaraht; Good music was rendered by the Kerepeehi orchestra and Davies’ orchestra, while Mesdames Chatfield and Hudson and ■Miss Gibb played extras. Mr G. Masters was M.C. DAIRY FARMERS’ UNION. Mr A. E. Fear, organising secretary of the Dairy Farmers’ Union, was t.i have held a meeting at Kerepeehi last evening, but owing to the tact that his arrangements clashed with the dance he has postponed his address' till next week. TURUA. BAZAAR TAKINGS. The financial result of the Church of England bazaar at-Turua last Friday was very satisfactory indeed, about £ll7 being the total takings.
