CLAUDELANDS STOCK SALE.

Tne Farmers’ Co-Operative Auction-: eering Co. reports:— At C.laudelands on Thursday last we had a large entry of cattle, including many prime beef;. There was a healthy demand, good ox making £7 3s to £7 15s, prime young steers £6 3s, heavy fat cpws and heifers £4 10s to £5 ss, good cows £3 _lss to £4 7s 6d, killabte cows £3 to £3 10s’, forward cows £2 5s to £3 ss, good stores £1 15s to £2 2s 6d, stores from 19s. There was a big yarding of empty yearling heifers. Although the bidding was not brisk some good sales were made, Jersey crjoss yearlings making £3 15s to £4 ss, yearling Shorthornt,' £2 15s to £3 ss, other

yearling heifers £2 7s 6d‘ to £2 14s ; two-year steers £2 9s ; grown steers, no condition, £4 5s ; cows and calves £1 10s to £3 10s ; yearling steers £1 14s. There was keen bidding for fat sheep, wethers making to £1 8s 3d, ewes and wethers mixed £1 6s, hoggets £1 4 s to £1 5s lid, spring lambs 18s to £1 6s. Wifhi the dairy cattle there was a very fair sale, best cows and heifers making £7 to £9, good £5 5s to £6 15s, others £3 10s to £4 15s. Fat pigs sold quite up to recept improved values. Good baconers £3 io £3 6s, medium £2 15s to £2 18s ; heavy porkers to light baconers £2 5s to £2 12s, light and medium porkers' £1 16s to £2 3s, unfinished frpm' £1 ,10s. A good entry of stores found ready buyers, slips making 19s to 28s, best weaners 12s to 15s, others 6s to 9s.
