NOTICE OF POLLING-DAY. IS pursuance of the Legislature Act, 1908, and its amendments, I, Charles William Carver, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Ohinemuri, do hereby give notice that, by virtue of a writ bearing date the 16th day of November/1922, under the hand of the Clerk of the Writs, an election will be held for the return of a qualified person to serve as member for the said district, and that the latest hour for receiving nominations of candidates will be noon on the 27th day of November, 1922, and that the poll, if necessary, will be taken at the several pollingplaces of the said district on the 7th day of December, 1922. Every person desirous of becoming a candidate must be nominated by not less than two electors of the district, by a nomina-tion-paper as prescribed by section 105 of the said Act, delivered to the Returning Officer on or before NOON on the 27th day of November, 1922. IN pursuance of the Licensing Act, 1908, and- the amendments thereto, I, Charles William Carver, Returning Officer for the Ohinemuri Licensing District, do hereby give notice that on the 7tH day of December, 1922, the dav appointed for taking the Electoral Poll for the Electoral District of Ohinemuri. simultaneously therewith a. LICENSING POLL will be taken upon the following proposals:— LOCAL RESTORATION. LOCAL NO-LICENSE. ' And concurrently with the taking of the said Licensing Poll there-will be submitted for the determination of the electors of the said Licensing District the following proposals:— NATIONAL CONTINUANCE. STATE PURCHASE & CONTROL NATIONAL PROHIBITION. Nominations of persons to appoint scrutineers in accordance with the Licensing Act, 1908, and the amendments thereto, ( in respect of ! each of the said proposals must be lodged with me not later than five o’clock, in the afternoon of the 30th day of November, 1922. And I hereby give notice that I shall on the 2nd day of December, 1922, at the hour of 10.30 o’clock in the forenoon, at my office in Paeroa, publicly consider all nomination-papers of persons to appoint scrutineers which have been duly lodged in respect of the Licensing Poll for the said Licensing District and in respect of the National Licensing Poll. Bailey Goodwin, late of Paeroa, labourer, who died on the 20th October, 1922 (whose estate is under administration by the Public Trustee), are hereby required to lodge in duplicate such claims, supported by full particulars and certified as due and owing by the said estate at the date of the death of deceased, with the Public Trustee’s local office at Hamilton on or before the 20th day of December, 1922. • Any claim not lodged by the date named is liable to exclusion.
