With a view to encouraging boys to do a little patching on their clothes (or know ihow to do it if the necessity arises), Mr E. J. Raison is offering two special prizes for any boys at the Greytown School doing tlie neatest patch in cloth - (states the local “Standard”). The prizes are to bcawarded at the Flower Show, and t’he work is - to be-done under tlie supervision of the teachers. It is an excellent idea of Mr Raison’s, and prompts us to ask: How many young men—even bachelors —of the present day could put a patch on their pants or coat ?
