CENTRAL THEATRE PICTURES TO-NIGHT. CHASING THE MOON. Tom Mix certainly keeps on the jump in his latest Fox picture, "Chasing the Moon,” which is the attraction for. to-night. Mix, a wealthy young man who has tried nearly all the. thrills in the world, is finding life a bore. For hew gives a wild west party at a gay resort. This causes his sweetheart to give him the Took indignant and tell him lie should make a name for himself in something worth while, and this he does with plenty of thrills and laughs.

THE ELUSIVE' PIMPERNEL.
On Wednesday night will be screened "The Elusive Pimpernel,” a distinctive film of a very high order. Not only does it give to us the charming story, but re-creates the attractive character of “The Scarlet Pimpernel ” so admirably that he lives more truly on the screen than in Baroness Orczy’s delightful romance. “ The Elusive Pimpernel ” is uninistakeably a fine British film. Also on the programme is “ The Man of the Forest,.” by Zane Grey.
LOUISE MACK IN PAEROA.
MOVING PICTURE TRAVELOGUES.
Miss Louise Mack, the famous lady traevller, authoress, and war correspondent, holds a record in New Zealand ak a lecturess, having beep lecturing in the Dominion for over two years, and is still drawing crowded houses everywhere. Her first and only appearance in Paeroa is exciting great interest. To-morrow (Tuesday) night, at the Central ..Hall, Miss Mack will screen her beautiful moving picture travelogues all over the world, lecturing to the pictures. A French classic drama, from Victor Hugo, will screen the Aristocrats of old France. with their exquisite manners and wonderful cbstumes. Some frocks will be shown that cost a thousand pounds apiece, such as a black velvet, embroidered in real pearls. Russia, Holland, beautiful Italy, magnificent Rome, white Switzerland, charming California, wild Africa*, dangerous Arabia. —the audience will travel in all these lands, personally conducted by Miss Mack. There will be dazzling Russian dancers, wonderful performing acts, a great Italian acrobat as a monkey, and many other, attractions. At eight sharp Miss Mack will tell of “The Personal Experiences of a Woman War Correspondent” and “How I met Edith Cavcll.”
