PAEROA RUGBY UNION.
SUCCESSFUL SOCIAL.
The annual social and euchre tournament of the Paeroa Rugby Union was held in the Central Theatre last evening, when there was a good attendance. The decorations were tastefully carried out, hikau palms, lycopodium, bunting, and coloured lanterns and streamers being used—with a very pleasing effect. Large multi-coloured butterflies resting on the palms added: a very natural appearance to the decorative scheme. To Messrs Penlington, Redfern, and J. Treanor all credit is’ due for their ability and taste displayed in so successfully carrying out this work; Dancing, to the strains of Mr Billings’ Te Aroha orchestra commenced shortly after 8.15.
