IN accordance with section 10 of the Land Drainage Act, 1908, and the Amendments thereto and the provisions of the Local Elections and Polls Act, 1908, and the Amendments thereto, I hereby give notice that an Election will be held at the office of the Board, Turua Buildings, Turua, on Monday, the 6th day of November, 1922, for the purpose of electing five new trustees of the above Board, and I hereby appoint the office of the Board, Turua Buildings, Turua, as the place, and Monday the 30th day of October, 1922, as the day for the nomination of Candidates for such office. BY Order in Council, made and issued by His Excellency the Governor-General in Council on the 28th day of August, 1922, under the authority of the above Act, it was determined that the duty by way of land-tax leviable under the said Act should be paid in one sum on Tuesday, the 7th day of November, 1922, at the office of the Commissioner of Taxes, Government Buildings, Wellington; and, in accordance with such Order in Council, I hereby give notice that the said duty will be payable accordingly. Additional tax will accrue if the tax is not paid on or before 28th November, 1922. The liability to pay is not suspended by any objection. The tax should be paid on or before the prescribed date, otherwise the additional percentage accrues : any overpayment will be adjusted by refund. The demands will be posted from the office of the Commissioner of Taxes on or about Ist November, 1922. Taxpayers who expect a demand and do not receive one should notify me of the fact. D. G.
