« Mr H. Poland, M.P., who had been up tb attend the annual meeting of the Ohinemuri Jockey Club pn Monday night, returned to Wellington by Tuesday evening’s train. Mrs F. A. B. Cameron, who counts amongst the longest residents of Paeroa'.. left yesterday to join her husband at Te Puke, where they intend
to reside.
Miss Louise Mack, the world-fam-ous authoress, traveller, and war-cor-respondent. was in Paerpa yesterday making arrangements to present a new series- of moving picture travelogues all over the world at the Central Theatre on Tuesday, November 7.
Dr. Bathgate, resident medical practitioner on the Hauraki Plains, is shortly to undergo an operation, and during his absence from the district he will be relieved by Dr. H. Morton, of Wellington. Dr. Morton arrived this week.
