CROQUET CLUB.
ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting .ofl the Ladies’ Croquet Club was held in the public Library on the 4th inst., when there was a good attendance of members ani friends, The annual report was adopted, as w.as also the balancesheet, which showed a small credit balance for the past season.
The opening day for the 1922’-2?> season was fixed for Saturday next, 21st inst., when it is expected that a large number of visiting and local players will be present. The election of officers for the ensuing se.aspn resulted as follows: President, Mrs W. H. Taylor; vicepresidents, Mrs Connolly, and Miss M. Shaw; general committee,, Mesdames Towers’, McDougall, Byrne, Evans, an,d Miss Dawber ; secretary and treasurer, Mi;s G. H. Taylpr. Hearty votes of l thanks, and appreciative references were accorded the retiring president (Mrs Towers) and the secretary and treasurer (Mrs W. J, Byrpe.
