Mr R. W. Evans, County Clerk, has just received the sad news of tne death of his brother, Mr Jos. Evans, of Christchurch, The deceased was for many years Official Assignee for Christchurch, but has for some time lived in retirement, He leaves a widow and two sons to mourn his loss. One son saw considerable active service in the late war, leaving with the third contingent, and was at the Landing of Gallipoli, whore he was wounded, but, recovering, served throughout the war. Mr Evans leaves by this evening’s train in route ;o Christchurch.
