Mr McCollough said that Mr Danhy and he had been deputed to come over on behalf of a Paddy's market which they were holding at Thames for the memorial fund. He asked if any donations of stock dr produce were forthcoming. • They intended to go around as many of the settlers as they could. ‘ Cr. Harris : Raffle a pig on my behalf. Cr. McLoughlin: A two-yean-old steer. Mr McCollough : That’ll be a startler ter them. A Councillor: If it’s not dehorned it will be. The Chairman : I’ll give you something. I'll ring you tfp to-morrow. Cr. Hayward: Put down a dressed sheep for me. Cr. Parfitt: i’ll send you a dressed pig on Saturday morning. M>- Higgins (engineer) : I have no pigs or cows but put me down for six dozen eggs. A Councillor : Do you know where the neighbours' hens lay ? Mr Higgins: I think I know a few.
