HIKUTAIA POSTAL HOLIDAY.
Sir, —It is pleasing indeed to Jhave this opportunity of making a few remarks regarding that very worthy gentleman "Scrutator.” who it appears has. set himself out to s and apparently revels in, fighting with a lady. I think, judging from his present mode of procedure,, that the backbone necessary to make the remarks he has, would have been sadly lacking had there been a man in office at Hikutaia. I venture to SUggest that if a ballot were taken at Hikutaia "Scrutator” would stand almost. if not quite, alone in his desire to deprive the postmistress of her half-day on Saturday. Presumably tic has a half-day. off during the week liimself, but, be that as it may, he must not overlook the trifling fact that the lady in question has friends to protect her interests against such despicable opposition. INTERESTED.
