OBITUARY.
It is with profound regret that it has fallen to our lot to record the death of Miss Dorothy (Dora) Lyes, youngest child of Mr and Mrs H. H. Lyes, of this town. The deceased young lady had not. been in receipt of good health for some time, but she could not bring herself to realize the position, and the end came somewhat suddenly on the. evening of Wednes day last at the home of her parents at the early age Oif 25 years. She was of a bright and happy disposition marked with conspicuous unselfishness, and particularly popular with those with whom she moved in her life of goodness. She had a bright and pros perous career of usefulness before her had her life been spared to gather in the harvest of her abilities. Apart from her musical career she he’d high educational qualities, and was at one time associated with the teaching staff at the Paeroa District High School, and also manifested ap active interest in St. Paul’s Sunday Schoo* - Miss Lyes’ death will be much felt in Paeroa as much of hen young life had been spent in the place. Her presence in her late beloved home will be. keenly missed by the household. more especially her mother an l devoted sisters w.hp were so earnestly and closely associated in her daily life. She leaves to mourn their loss her mother, father, bne brother, and four sisters, who are Mrs "Wl. D. Nicholas and Mrs W. Waters, and Misses Bessie and Ada. Lyes.
