An Australian travelling company which visited Palmerston North recently says New Zealand should be named “Dogland.” They estimate that there are at least five times as many dogs in New Zealand as in Australia, where climatic conditions are not favourable (reports an exchange). The dogs of many breeds in this country are the handsomest to be found in any part of the world.
