If tlie Railway .officials are always as solicitous for the convenience of the travelling public as they were on Monday afteniobn, when they held up a train for half an hour just for one passenger, there can surely be no need to doubt their concern for the coiivenience of their patrons. The 4 5 p.m. train from Frankton Junction to Te Awamutu was held up for nearly half an hour waiting for the arrival of the Cambridge train and its quota of passengers. The annoyance depicted on the faces Of the southbound passengers when they saw that their train had been kept waiting for thirty minutes just for one passenger —a diminutive schoolgirl of thirteen —can well be imagined.—Waikato Times.
