BENEFIT SOCIAL.
A SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION. The benefit social organised by the Komata Football Club was held >n the Soldiers’ Club last evening and proved an unqualified success frprn every viewpoint. The decorations were tastefully carried out by the Misses S. Vincent and R- Ellis, and looked very „pretty, tree fems and lycopodium being freely used with pleasing effect. Mr F. W. Pitts made an indefatigable master o>f ceremonies, and did all possible to ensure the success of the evening. Mrs W. Pennell was responsible for the major portion of the dance music., and left nothing to be desired in this respect. Extras were kindly supplied by Mrs Budd and Misses L. Vincent and Houlihan. The floor was in good order, and the delicious supper was provided by the ladies' committee. ; The promoters of the social are to be congratulated on the thoroughness of (heir efforts, and it its to he hoped that a material benefit will result for their injured comrade.
