TRADE WITH THE PLAINS
Q . FURTHER DEVELOPMENT. Some time back the Northern Steam Ship Company commenced running a monthly cargo service between Paeroa and Tahuna and way ports, including Ngatea, Kerepeehi, Patetonga. and Kaihere. This service, it is pleasing to note, has so developed that it now warrants a steamer going fortnightly, snd is one that should strongly commend itself to the business men of Paeroa, as .ttiei’e is ample scope to work up a decided trade in these parts of the Hauraki Plains and thus support the Northern Steamship Company, which has been enterprising enough to launch put. with the service. It will also help the Plains people in their agitation for better facilities for landing their cargo. The next direct sailing co Tahuna will, weather permitting, be on Monday next, 18,th inst.
The matter of the running of this steamer to the Plains is to be brought up for consideration by the Business Men’s Association on Monday evening next, when it is hoped that all the business men Of the town will be present.
