WESTERN PORTION OF PLAINS. A meeting of the committee of the Farmers’ Veterinary Club was heM hi ■Mr E. Walton’s office, Ngatea, on Wednesday, the following being present: Messrs C. W. Parfitt (chairman), G. T. Davidson, Wallace, W, Stretton, R. T. Williams, and J. D. Hewett. Tt was decided that the veterinarian shouild lecture to the settlers at Kaihere and later at. Ngatea regarding treatment of their stock. The chairman reported that a very successful meeting had been held on Thursday at Waitakaruru and 15 new members were enrolled. A motion was passed that the necessary steps b.e taken to collect subscriptions.
