A successful manufacturer of clothing who employs JLOO hands, declares, says the Palmerston North Times, that if; he could depend upon getting and retaining treble that number at a reasonable wage very little lower than that now paid, he could employ them. The unions, he said, are responsible for the unemployment. “This year there are 246 clubs ahd a membership of 13,949 ; in 191314, the first year of te association, the number of clubs was 198 and the membership 10,912.
