PRESENTATIONS.

N.Z. DAIRY COMPANY’S STAFF.

Presentations to two of their members were made by the staff of the local branch of the N.Z. Dairy Company yesterday afternoon. The pre■sentaiions were made in the board room by Mr W. H. Blakeway, branch manager, the recipients being Miss G. Buchanan and Mr W. Lawrence.

While presenting a set of Doulton wa»'e to Miss Buchanan, who is shortly to be married, Mr Blakeway, on behalf of his staff, hoped that Miss Buchanan’s future life would be one of happiness and that whenever she had the set in use she would be reminded of the happy days spent at •the Dairy Company’s office. Mr G. Buchanan, local director, o.i behalf of his daughter, suitably replied, thanking the s.taff for their kindness.

In a few well-chosen words Mr Blakeway, while handing Mr Law 1 - rence a silver; mounted inkstand and a pipe, recalled the many happy days spent in the office with Mr Lawrence, who was leaving to join the staff of the Hauraki Plains Gazette. The speaker hoped Mr Lawrence would prosper in his new sphere and meet with the success he deserved.

Mr Lawrence in reply thanked tLe staff for their kindness. He heartily .appreciated the good wishes expressed by Mr Blakeway on behalf of the staff. He would do his utmost at his new work in the furtherance of the interests of the Hauraki Plains Gazette.
