CENTRAL THEATRE PICTURES TO-NIGHT. “THE ROOF TREE.” William Russell, in the rple of a Virginian who flees to Kentucky to escape the wrath of- a murdered man’s family, will be the attraction to night in his newest William Fox picture, “The Roof Tree.” Action aplenty, amid mountain settings, is said to put this pitcure in a class by itself. Charles Neville Buck wrote the story, which- fact in itself is a promise of somethting unusually interesting. Sylvia Breamer, a wellknown screen actress of ability, plays the girl. "CINDERELLA OF THE HILLS.” “Cinderella of the Hills,” a Fox production presenting Barbara Bedford as a new star, is another attraction for to night. The picture is said to be one that will baffle the movie “Sherlocks” who can usually guess the identity of the mysterious stranger or the unknown murderer in screen stories. The mysterious person in the play is a fiddler, and not until the very last reel is the audience let. in on the secret of identity. There arc several other puzzling situations that her? complicate the plot and make it a thoroughly enjoyable and clever one. “ THE SNAPSHOTS OF 1922.” THURSDAY NEXT. An ideal attraction, consisting of clever costume comedy and first-class musical numbers and composed of a coterie of talented artists, is to apuear in the Central Theatre on Thursday next, under the title of) “The Snapshots of 1922.,” The company consists of 16 Quality Performers, and is identical with the favourite “Q.P’s” who appeared with such. success in Paeroa some months ago. Headed by Leonard Nelson, the ever popular apd versatile comedian, who is supported by well-known comedians and vocalists, the company has been hailed as one of the finest of its ; kind ever seen in New Zealand; Box plans for the one night’s season are open at Flatt’s. Early application for seats is advisable.
