WARDEN’S COURT.

MONDAY, JULY 24. (Before Mr. J. H. Salmon, Warden; Protection was granted for six months for the Rising Sun Gold Mining Cp.. and a reduction of rent to 3$ 9d pei acre was recommended to the Minister. An application for reduction to two men for six months was granted to H. W. Lloyd and party for portion of the Talisman claim; also reduction of rent to Is per acre was recommended to the Minister, as agreed to by the Ohinemuri County Council. An application for protection of the New Zealand Crown Mines was called, Mr. Porritt appeared for the application and Mr. J. L. Hanna for the objectors, who had lodged a plaint for forfeiture. The case was set down for hearing on August 24, at 10 30 a.m.
