TRIP FIXED FOR WEDNESDAY, 26.
In accordance with a resolution passed at the last meeting of the Thames Valley Drainage Reference Board asking the Public Works Department to place a. .launch at the disposal, of tiie Board, so that the members may inspect the river from Paeroa to Wharepoa, the Department has consented to the request. The trip has been arranged for Wednesday, July 26. The launch will leave the Puke wharf at 12.30 p.m. and proceed down the river. At Wharepoa the party will disembark and return to Paeroa, by mir in time to connect with the train..
All those desirous of making the trio aie requested to notify the secretary as early as possible, so that the Public Works Department may be notified of tiie number likely to avail themselves of the opportunity to in's pect the river.
