HAURAKI PLAINS ROADS.
FUTURE ADMINISTRATION; In connection with the proposed amendment to the existing legislation dealing with the future administra-i •tion of the Hauraki Plains and the handing over of he Government roads to the County Council, the county clerk, Mr. E. Walton, advises that he recently discussed the matter, with Mr. E Taylor, resident drainage engineer, and it is likely that a conference will be held between Messrs Campbell and Taylor, of. the Lands Department, and the Hauraki Plains County Council. The date for the conference has not yet been announced, but it is expected to eventuate shortly.
