PERSONAL.
Last, week Mrs. J. Black gave an afternoon at her residence, “Wakatipii,” to Mrs. Arch. White, when a very pleasant time’ was spent in competitions, the guest winning the prize. On Monday evening Mr. and Mrs. Arch. White, just prior to leaving Paeroa, were entertained by the Golf Club to a social evening. Arrangements had been made to hold ah afternoon on the links, but the inclement weather prevented th>s course. A merry little dance was held, and* duping the evening the president, Mr. Allan Gorrie, on behalf oi”, the club, presented Mrs. White with a set of .afternoon tea spoons and Mr. White with a case of pipes. Mr. White suitably replied, thanking the dub for the honour that had been done to both Mrs. White and himself. The music during the evening was supplied by lady members of the club.
