WAIKATO WINTER SHOW.

This year’s Show was opened yesterday by the Hoif. W. Nosworthy, Minister of Agriculture, and is undoubtedly the largest yet held by the Association. The building has been considerably added to, and it is quite evident from yesterday’s opening that still further additions must be made. Each year has brought with it an improvement in the management and working of the Show, and • exhibitors, too, have learnt much in the art of displaying their wares, thus giving, an added interest and spectacular appearance to the Show generally. The entries this year not only constitute a further record, but many applications for space had to be refused. . Its growth has been steady and sure, and it is now claimed to be the greatest exhibition of its kind in the Dominion. It is certainly an education for anybody to go there and see what might be termed a city under one roof. There is something to interest everybody, old or young, and whatever calling in life. The fact must be grasped that the Show is not a district one, but a provincial asset, and one has only to witness it to. realise the magnitude of its influence. The Association has every reason to be proud of its thirteen years of wtfrk, and may h continue for the good of the Dominion.
