WAIKATO’S SHOW.

OPENING CEREMONY. SPLENDID ARRAY OF EXHIBITS. EXTENSIVE TRADE DISPLAY. The 1922 exhibition pf the Waikato Winter Show Association points to attaining achievements next week which will class it as the greatest show ever held in the lengthy and distinctly creditable annals linked to the Association’s endeavours. Not only are entries a record in all sections of the Show; but in quality t ie exhibits promise to be ahead of the very excellent standard reached in the past in this important connection. Another features this year is in the trade displays, which are always outstanding at the Waikato Exhibition. The demands for space have been so great that the-secretary has not been able to grant the requirements to the limits sought and fully 50 applications have had to be reluctantly declined. Although the Association has added very materially to its buildings during the 12 months, and the maximum square fee.t of space available now runs into many thousands, its limits were very readily reached. The * side-shows this yeah will be staged opposite the eastern end of the main annexe, on the old saleyards site, facing Anglesea Street.. In addition to the many general departments of the Show the poultry apd dog sections, in both of which large entries have been received, will be added, and are important features of the week’s display. s . . / The Show will be opened on Tuesday afternoon by the Hon. W. Nosworthy, Minister of Agriculture. Show sessions will continue day and evening until Saturday, and the popular admission charge of Is will be in vogue. Special , attention is ’ being given by the executive of the Association to the entertainment of the public, and music, singing, and dancing programmes will be put on at each session from the platfprm in the main annexe at the Ward Street show building.
