CENTRAL THEATRE PICTURES TO-NIGHT. “THE GREAT REDEEMER." The attraction v for to-night is . a Maurjice Tourneur production (founded on the story by H. H. Van Loan. The picture tells the story of Dan Malloy (House Peters), 'a. Western bandit, who seeks refuge in the house of a girl. He is not as welcome as one might think; the girl (Marjorie Daw) fires at him, but misses.. When the sheriff comes'with his men the girl hides Dan, her p'ty ,aroused by his wound. She next becomes interested in the bandit, falls in lave with him. in fact, and he with her. With tim beneficent influence of the girl’s interest and love Malloy, who has a natural bent <for' drawing, seems we’l on the road to reform when a pal of his comes to him with an alluring proposition of an easy hold-up. The hold-flip proves a trap laid by the sheriff. As Dan and his pal stop the stage-each the sheriff’s posse surrounds them, -But' they are not the sort of men to give up without a fight. In the fight Dan’s pal is killed ,and Dan is captured and sentenced ■to ter years. What follows makes a picture well worth witnessing.
